Real Life Real Dance, a dance theatre project.

A movement, storytelling, dance theatre project with Luca Silvestrini’s Protein Luca Silvestrini’s Protein has funding from The Rebecca Dykes Foundation and Arts Council England to provide free creative opportunities for adults who have crossed borders as migrants, refugees, asylum seekers or immigrants.

Project Content:

Protein will make links with organisations who support Refugees, Asylum Seekers and transient people.
Pre-project familiarisation welcome meetings will be offered at The Place
Participants invited to sign up to the main residency following taster sessions
Residency will run for 3 weeks at dance venue The Place
Technical rehearsal introducing the participants to stage and developing confident performance skills
Performance for refugees to share their stories for an invited audience
Final day to reflect on skills learnt and individual self-development. Signposting onto other organisations and explaining how to stay in touch with Protein
